Police are looking into a number of incidents at a boisterous rally addressed by Boris Johnson where a teenager in a gorilla suit was alleged to have been elbowed in the ribs and punched in the face. Another man, a remain campaigner, was allegedly pushed from a monument in Winchester city centre amid jostling for position with leave supporters. A Hampshire police spokesman said that the force was investigating whether the same suspect was responsible for both incidents.

AN outraged woman has resorted to extreme lengths to reclaim her suburb and help police catch an alleged brazen sex pest accused of exposing himself to terrified women while riding a bike along the foreshore in Applecross. So this week, in a bizarre tactic to say the least, she spent three days hiding out in the park wearing a gorilla cop costume — so the alleged pervert would not be able to recognise her — in case he turned up. Yesterday, police charged a year-old Palmyra man with four counts of committing indecent acts in public over a nine-month period, from May last year until Thursday. The woman said she felt compelled to do her own stakeout — as well as put up her own warning posters around local parks alerting people to the alleged indecent exposer — because every woman deserved to feel safe and not be harassed in public.

A woman was so fed-up with a pervert flashing women from his bicycle at her local park that she dressed as a gorilla in police clothes to catch him. When other women told her they were too terrified to go back to the park after their own encounters with the man, she decided drastic measures were necessary. The woman calling said she was harassed by the alleged sex pest pictured several times along the foreshore in Applecross, Perth. For three days she stayed in the park wearing a furry gorilla suit under a blue police costume - complete with a hat, truncheon and handcuffs. On Thursday, she finally spotted the man allegedly riding around with his shots pulled up so high his genitals spilled out of the bottom. She took chase on her own bike while on the phone to local police until they could intercept him.
Multiple women say they've had upsetting encounters with a male cyclist in Jeff Joseph Reserve in the Perth suburb of Applecross. It's alleged the man exposed his genitals to them while riding through the beachside park. One anonymous local claims the man has confronted her multiple times in the park, usually remaining on his bike but sometimes dismounting and approaching her. She says she's spoken to other women who have had similar experiences with the alleged flasher. She decided to take matters into her own hands with a creative form of vigilante justice. Hiring a gorilla suit, police costume and handcuffs, she took on the alter ego of 'Cop Kong'. The woman then spent three days patrolling the park, waiting for the notorious cyclist to show up in the knowledge that he wouldn't recognise her under her fluffy disguise. She made posters featuring photos of herself in the gorilla outfit, which she taped to signposts around the park to notify residents that "Cop Kong is patrolling this area".
